MILITARY SILVER PLATES 950 Mil.
This is the material Silver (not the color) with a mirror-polished finish and no rhodium plating*; with a titre of 950 thousandths. At 100% metal, these military plates contain 95% Silver. They are flat (no turned edges) and between 0.8 and 0.9 millimeters thick (depending on production batch), weighing between 10 and 11g. Given their thinness, they are not punched to avoid any risk of deformation. However, they are delivered with a certificate of guarantee of title. Made in France.

MAINTENANCE
In the absence of rhodium plating*, partial oxidation occurs and occasional cleaning in a bath (Silver Clean, for example) is recommended. Otherwise, cleaning with cold water and soap (pH neutral) may also be appropriate. In all cases, wipe with a microfiber cloth WITHOUT RUBBING. On the contrary: avoid brushing and scouring pastes, whose fine abrasion scratches the mirror polish. Avoid baths, showers and sea water. Finally, if you know you're prone to acid sweat, it's best to avoid this type of jewelry.

Rhodium plating is the electrolytic plating of rhodium onto silver. As rhodium is a rare metal (more expensive than gold since 2020) and particularly hard, it gives silver anti-oxidant protection. White in color, it slightly changes the hue of the silver's initial color.
